Bet She’an National Park

If the Garden of Eden is in the Land of Israel, then its entrance is Beit She’an” (Reish Lakish, Babylonian Talmud, Eruvin 19a).

Bet She’an boasts a rich and varied history. Throughout the ages, its fertile soil, abundant water, and strategic location at a crucial crossroads made it a coveted city by many rulers. Decades of excavations at Bet She’an have uncovered incredible treasures: ancient bathhouses, streets, temples, and monuments that captivate with their grandeur and beauty. Now, you can be a part of the ongoing journey to preserve this ancient city, which met its demise in an earthquake in 749 CE.
